The hotel is 100 metres from Wynyard Station, providing a direct train to Kingsford Smith Airport in about 30 minutes. Numerous shops and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. The surrounding streets are central but can be noisy with traffic and late-night activity, especially on weekends.

Rooms measure 28 m2 and are equipped with a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee maker, washing machine, tumble dryer, and heating. Beds are reported as comfortable, and rooms have carpeted floors. All rooms are located on the street side and have no air conditioning; only ceiling fans and some pedestal fans are provided. Windows are single-glazed, so street noise is prominent with them open, and rooms can become hot and stuffy in warm weather. The double room has one bed, the twin has two, and the family room sleeps up to four on three or four beds. The property is older and dated, with some reports of stained carpets and worn furniture.
