THE BLUE60 MARIGNY INN, New Orleans

The Blue60 Marigny Inn sits on Elysian Fields Avenue in a quiet, residential area of the Faubourg Marigny, home to local bars, restaurants, and music venues. Frenchmen Street (live jazz, clubs, art markets) is a 5-minute walk away. The French Quarter - including Bourbon Street (2 km) and St. Louis Cathedral (1 km) - is a 10-15 minute stroll. A streetcar stop and bus route are within 2 minutes on foot for easy access to downtown. A full-service supermarket and pharmacy are directly across the street. Free street parking is available on the main road and side streets, well-lit and safe. The nearest airport is Louis Armstrong New Orleans International, 19 km away.

Accommodation consists of six historic shotgun-style rooms, each with its own private entrance and a private bathroom. Every room includes a flat-screen TV (cable or streaming), mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, tea kettle, air conditioning, and heating. Some rooms have seating areas, separate living spaces, daybeds, or trundle beds. The Garden Apartment features a full kitchen with gas stove/oven and a dining area. All other rooms have a kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave). Room sizes vary; most are spacious, with tall ceilings, period furniture, and colourful New Orleans-themed decor. The beds - king-size options available - are consistently rated for comfort. Road-facing rooms may experience noise; garden-facing rooms are quieter and offer backyard views. Each room has its own charm; the Porch and River suites include a daybed and trundle, suitable for extra guests.

The inn does not have an on-site restaurant or bar, but every room is equipped with a kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, tea kettle, utensils) or a full kitchen (garden apartment with stove and oven). Coffee and tea are provided. A fully stocked grocery store is directly across the street. Within a 5-minute walk are bakeries (Ayu's Bakehouse, Loretta's for beignets), cafés, and a variety of restaurants including Kukhnya, The Ruby Slipper Cafe, Wasabi Sushi & Asian Grill, and the famous Frenchmen Street food scene (including Dat Dog for alligator sausage). The inn provides a comprehensive local guidebook with curated dining and entertainment recommendations.

The property features a well-tended, lush garden with mature plants, a picnic area, outdoor furniture, and a sun terrace. A shared hot tub / jacuzzi is open for all guests and is well-maintained; its use is often easy to schedule respectfully. The garden provides a quiet retreat from the city's energy. No gym, pool, or spa facilities are on site, but the location adjacent to Frenchmen Street offers live music, art markets, and nightlife entertainment nightly.
