COMFORT INN DOWNTOWN DC-CONVENTION CENTER, Washington

McPherson Square and Mt. Vernon Square Metrorail stations are each about a 10-minute walk, providing direct access to the National Mall, the White House (10 minutes on foot), and Reagan National Airport (yellow line to Mt. Vernon Square). The area is walkable to many attractions, though a car is not necessary for most sightseeing. The neighbourhood includes several restaurants, a grocery store, and a dog park. Parking is located 2-3 blocks away in a 24/7 attended garage; for luggage, it is best to drop bags at the hotel before parking.

All rooms are equipped with heating, a hairdryer, safe, and work desk. Some rooms offer city views, but no rooms have a balcony. The hotel provides wheelchair-accessible rooms with a walk-in shower and grab rails. Rooms vary in size - some are compact while others are described as larger corner rooms. The bedding is consistently noted as comfortable. For quieter stays, rooms away from the street and the generator are recommended. Older furnishings and carpet are present; maintenance issues like air conditioning noise or occasional malfunction have been reported. The microwave is located in the lobby, available 24/7.

Breakfast is available in a dedicated basement dining room that is kept well-stocked by the staff. The selection typically includes breads, pastries, cereals, coffee, and juice. A waffle-making station is a popular feature. Special requests such as vegan milk can be accommodated. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar on site; however, many dining options are within a short walk, including Maddy's Tap Room, Arepa Zone, and The Pig. The breakfast room closes promptly, so arriving before the scheduled end time is advised.

The hotel's wellness and leisure facilities consist of a fitness centre. There is no pool, spa, or sauna. Bicycle rental and walking tours can be arranged for an additional charge. The surrounding area offers opportunities for cycling and walking to many landmarks.
