The inn sits in a quiet, walkable neighbourhood, one exit off Salem Parkway and about 1 km (15 minutes on foot) from the Benton Convention Center. Central Winston-Salem restaurants and shops - including Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean and American options - are within a 5- to 10-minute walk. Hanes Mall for shopping and Salem Lake for fishing are both within a 8 km drive. Foothills Brewery is about 1 km away. For bike rentals, Pedego Electric Bikes is the nearest vendor. There is no airport shuttle, but free parking makes car access simple. Truist Stadium is one exit away via Salem Parkway.

All rooms include a cable TV with flat-screen options, small refrigerator, microwave, tea and coffee maker, air conditioning, central heating, and free Wi-Fi. Private bathrooms feature a tub/shower combo with free toiletries. Selected suites add a full kitchenette. Some rooms have room-darkening curtains available on request (subject to availability). Note that windows do not open. Noise from upper floors or slamming doors can occur, particularly in the main building; requesting a room in the quieter back building may help. Air conditioning performance may be inconsistent, especially in rooms with high ceilings. A few rooms have been noted as cold in winter, but space heaters are provided upon request.

Breakfast includes eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, and continental-style options, served in a historic dining room. The wine-and-cheese reception offers free wine (and sometimes beer) with cheese and crackers. A bar/lounge operates in the evenings, and a snack bar with vending machines is always available. There is no full restaurant on-site. Several dining options are within walking distance: Senor Bravo Mexican Restaurant and Meridian Restaurant (0.5 km each), Willow's Bistro and Diamond Back Downtown (0.5 km each).

The fitness centre features cardio equipment and is free to use, though some equipment may occasionally be out of order. There is no swimming pool or spa. For outdoor leisure, the inn has a garden, terrace, and picnic area with outdoor furniture. There is a cat that roams the lobby and first floor; allergy sufferers should take note. The property has a designated smoking area and is entirely non-smoking indoors.
