THE IRIS MOTEL, Nashville

The Iris Motel sits 6 km from Broadway, 6 km from Bridgestone Arena and Lane Motor Museum, 7 km from Ryman Auditorium and the Johnny Cash Museum, and 10 km from Nashville International Airport. Vanderbilt University and The Parthenon are close by, and the motel is 0.6 km from the Vanderbilt Breast Clinic. The walkable neighborhood includes several restaurants, a Walmart, and a bus stop (bus route to downtown costs $2). Free gated on-site parking makes a car convenient, but ride-shares are also a cheap option for city trips.

Rooms include double rooms with one or two beds and studios. All have a flat-screen TV with streaming services, parquet floors, ironing facilities, and a coffee maker. Some units have a refrigerator. Microwaves are located in the shared lobby, not in the rooms. The air conditioning is effective but can be noisy. Beds are comfortable, but pillows are exclusively down and tend to be thin. Bathrooms are compact with limited counter space. Rooms have a work desk, wardrobe, and free toiletries. Noise from road traffic and other rooms can be noticeable; requesting a quieter room away from the road is recommended. The decor is modern but minimal - furniture is basic and seating is limited to the bed.

The motel has a small, private outdoor pool that is open during warmer months. There is no gym, spa, sauna, or other recreational amenities. The pool area is simple and is used by a limited number of guests. For other leisure activities, downtown Nashville and nearby parks provide additional options.
