AVID HOTEL - NASHVILLE AIRPORT BY IHG, Nashville

The hotel sits just 6 km from Nashville International Airport, with a free shuttle running 5am-11pm. It is also close to the Lane Motor Museum (8 km), Grand Ole Opry (10 km), and The Hermitage (11 km). Several chain restaurants such as McDonald's, Waffle House, and Wendy's are within 1 km, and a restaurant next door at the Cambria hotel offers additional dining. On-site parking is available for $10 per day or $5 per day for long-term stays. Note that the parking lot has experienced occasional vehicle break-ins, so securing valuables is advised. The location is convenient for accessing the interstate and downtown Nashville, with Uber rides to the city centre around $20.

Rooms offer either a king bed or two queen beds, along with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, heating, ironing facilities, and a hair dryer. The bathrooms feature a walk-in shower with body wash and shampoo dispensers, but water pressure can be low and the shower door seal may allow water to escape. Motion-sensor lights in the bathroom can turn off during a shower. No microwaves in rooms, but a lobby microwave is available 24/7. Storage is limited to hooks; no hangers or closets. Vinyl/tile flooring helps maintain cleanliness but transmits noise from above. Rooms facing the runway experience significant aircraft noise; lighter sleepers may prefer earplugs or a sound machine.

Breakfast is served Monday-Friday 6:30-9:30 am and Saturday-Sunday 7-10 am. Offerings include fresh fruit, granola bars, pastries, yoghurt, and hot coffee from a self-serve bar. The coffee is available 24/7. The selection is basic but adequate for a quick start. Several fast-food restaurants and diners are within a 1-2 km drive for additional options. The on-site lounge area provides a relaxed space for enjoying breakfast or coffee.

The fitness centre is open 24 hours and includes treadmills, weights, and other cardio equipment. The hotel does not have a pool or spa. The shared lounge/TV area is available for relaxation. The business centre offers free computer and printing services.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. The 24-hour front desk provides express check-in/out, luggage storage, and daily housekeeping. The business centre and fitness centre are free to use. Parking costs $10 per day on site, with a long-term rate of $5 per day for airport parking (reservation not needed). Pets are allowed with possible charges. The hotel is fully non-smoking and offers wheelchair-accessible rooms with grab rails in bathrooms. Safety features include key card access, CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. Airport shuttle runs 5am-11pm; no late-night service.
