THE LOVERS, Venice

The Lovers sits in the heart of the San Polo district, a genuine Venetian residential area filled with locals, typical bacari restaurants, and a daily market scene around Rialto. The entrance at Calle Sbianchesini 1159 is a short 4-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge and less than 1 km to Basilica San Marco, making it easy to reach all major sights on foot. For longer journeys, the San Silvestro vaporetto stop is a 2-minute walk away, offering connections across the city and to the airport (18 km from Marco Polo Airport). The area is quiet for its central position, with soundproof windows in the apartments to reduce street noise. Parking is off-site; the Tronchetto parking garage is a 40-minute vaporetto ride away, while Piazzale Roma is a 20-minute walk (2 km).

Both apartments are independently accessed with a door code, and feature a separate living room, a fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kettle, tea selection), and a private bathroom with a spacious 80x120 cm shower, 25 cm rain shower head, and double-sided magnifying mirror. Each bedroom has air-conditioning, a flat-screen smart TV (with Netflix capability), and high-quality bed linen. The Veronica apartment sleeps up to 4 people (two separate bedrooms), while Casanova sleeps up to 3 (one bedroom plus a comfortable sofa bed). The Lovers' Loft (100 m2, up to 4 guests) offers a direct view of the Rio della Madonetta, where gondoliers sometimes sing. All units have heated towel rails, and the interiors are well-lit with natural light. The apartments are on the first floor with a few steps, and are described as clean, modern, and comfortably furnished - better suited to couples, families with teenagers, or solo travellers who appreciate a quiet, elegant base in a historic building.

Just outside the apartment, the area is lined with Venetian trattorias, pizzerias, bakeries, and pastry shops, including Al Ponte Storto, Ostaria dai Zemei, and Vineria all'Amarone, all within 300 metres. A well-stocked minimarket on site and several supermarkets nearby make self-catering easy with the fully equipped kitchen. There is no on-site restaurant, but the neighbourhood offers a rich selection of local food experiences, from cicchetti (Venetian tapas) to full meals. Bakeries such as Antico Forno and Pasticceria Bar Targa are also within a short stroll, ideal for a quick breakfast or snack. For those wanting a guided food experience, the property can arrange a walking tour of local bakeries and bacari. The lively Rialto market, with its fresh fish and produce, is just a few minutes away.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout, with a 4G connection that supports work and streaming. The host provides a detailed guide and video before arrival, including transport directions and access codes, making check-in smooth even for late arrivals.
