Hotel Details

Location

Located on Spring Street, a 2-minute walk to Thames Street shops, restaurants, and 5 minutes to the waterfront wharfs.

The inn is set on a quiet tree-lined street just steps from Newport's main thoroughfare, Thames Street, with many dining options such as The Gas Lamp Grille (0.5 km) and Benjamin's Restaurant and Raw Bar (0.5 km). The harbor and Bowen's Wharf are a 5-minute walk, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame is less than 1 km away. A free trolley stop 3 blocks away provides access to the mansions and Cliff Walk. The property is 43 km from T.F. Green Airport. For those arriving without a car, the walkable layout makes parking optional for many itineraries.

Accommodation

Rooms are spotless, updated, and feature private bathrooms, air conditioning, and parquet floors.

Each room includes a flat-screen TV, hairdryer, and free toiletries, and certain rooms offer additional amenities such as a sitting area, sofa bed, tea and coffee maker, or kitchenette. Several room types are available: a king room with a sofa bed (Room 10), a two-bedroom suite with two en-suite bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a private deck, and rooms on the second or third floor with or without water views. Rooms are described as spacious and quiet, though some near the front may hear church bells. The property features a roof deck accessible to all.

Dining

A complimentary homemade breakfast is served each morning, often with made-to-order options.

Breakfast includes daily specials (pancakes, French toast, eggs and bacon) along with fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, juices, and multiple coffees and teas. Dietary preferences are accommodated upon request. The breakfast can be enjoyed on the rooftop deck with harbor views. No restaurant or bar is available on site, but the inn is a 2-minute walk from numerous restaurants such as The Vanderbilt Grill (0.5 km) and The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar (0.5 km). Coffee and tea are available throughout the day in the common area.

Wellness and Leisure

A sun terrace and rooftop deck with harbor views are the main leisure spaces.

Outdoor furniture is provided on the terrace and roof deck, which is open for use all day. The property does not have a spa, swimming pool, or gym. For other leisure, the free trolley stop nearby provides access to the Cliff Walk and Newport's mansions, and the Inn's location is within easy walking distance of the harbor and wharfs.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, free off-site parking, and daily housekeeping are included.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Free public parking is available at a nearby lot (0.5 km away) with no reservation needed; luggage drop-off is possible at the inn. Express check-in/check-out and daily housekeeping are provided free of charge. A luggage storage option is available. The inn is non-smoking and does not allow pets. A keypad system is used for front door and room entry.
