Ugo Bassi Apartments sit directly in Bologna's historic core, under the porticos of Via Ugo Bassi. Piazza Maggiore is 6 minutes on foot, MAMbo museum is 12 minutes, and the Archiginnasio is 9 minutes away. The main train station is a 12-15 minute flat walk under covered porticos - convenient for luggage. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is 9 km away (10-15 minutes by car or about €20 by taxi). The building faces a street with shops, yet apartments overlooking the inner courtyard remain quiet. A bus stop is directly outside, and the Quadrilatero food district, Mercato delle Erbe, and dozens of restaurants and cafés are within 300 metres.

Each apartment is self-contained with one or two bedrooms, a living area with a sofa bed (converts to double), and a private bathroom with walk-in shower and hairdryer. Units are air-conditioned (living room unit) and include a flat-screen TV, soundproof walls, and a washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and Caffitaly coffee machine with initial pods provided. While some apartments are spacious and modern, the condition and comfort level can vary by unit - some have been noted to be very comfortable, others have older mattresses. Apartments do not have balconies. The building has two lifts and secure key-code entry.

Ugo Bassi Apartments do not have a restaurant or breakfast service, but each apartment has a full kitchen for self-catering. A large Coop supermarket is located on the ground floor of the building, and Mercato delle Erbe (fresh produce, local specialties) is one minute away. Within 300 metres you will find Café Pastry Gamberini, Espresso Bolognese, Pantheon cafe, and a range of trattorias and pizzerias. The Quadrilatero district, known for its food shops and restaurants, is a 5-minute walk. A Caffitaly coffee machine with initial pods is provided in each apartment.

There are no wellness facilities such as a pool, gym, or spa at the property. The apartments themselves provide a practical base for exploring Bologna's historic centre, with Piazza Maggiore, the Two Towers, MAMbo, and the shopping street Via dell'Indipendenza all reachable on foot in under 15 minutes.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. A business centre with fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities is available for an additional charge. The building has a lift, non-smoking rooms, and central heating. A minimarket is on site, and an ATM is located within the building. Luggage storage is free at the office (1st floor) on weekdays; for weekend arrivals an external deposit is suggested.
