Waterloo Lodge is on a leafy, quiet street in central Dublin, 10 minutes on foot from the Aviva Stadium, 15 minutes from St Stephen's Green, and 20 minutes from Trinity College and Temple Bar. The Dublin Airport bus stop is nearby. The bus stop outside the lodge (routes 39/39a) runs frequently to the city centre and is ideal for car-free exploration. The neighbourhood is safe and well-served by restaurants, pubs, and supermarkets on Baggot Street and along the canal. Street parking is available but limited; the property offers 4 paid parking spots (€6/night, reservation required).

Each room includes a private bathroom with shower (no bathtubs), hairdryer, towels, and free toiletries. Amenities include a flat-screen TV with cable channels, an electric kettle, and a safety deposit box. Room sizes vary: single rooms are compact and may feel small; family rooms are larger with carpet. Double and twin rooms typically have wooden floors. Some rooms have city views. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided. Noise can be an issue due to creaky wooden floors and thin walls, especially in rooms above reception or in the basement.
