WG CREOLE HOUSE 1850 (ADULTS ONLY), New Orleans

The property sits in a calm pocket near the Warehouse District, within a five-minute walk of the St. Charles streetcar line. The streetcar provides direct, low-cost access to the French Quarter, Canal Street, and uptown. Union Station (Amtrak) is less than 1 km away. Several restaurants and a Colombian restaurant are within a block or two, and the French Quarter is within a 20-minute walk or a short streetcar ride. Free street parking is available directly in front of the house and on surrounding streets. Louis Armstrong Airport is 19 km away.

Room types include the 'Trolley Stop Executive' (en-suite bathroom, balcony), 'Trolley Stop Classy' (private bathroom across the hall from the bedroom), and 'Trolley Stop Canopy' (private bathroom in the hallway). All rooms are air-conditioned with a flat-screen TV, mini fridge, microwave, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Beds are consistently comfortable and rooms are spacious, with period 1800s character retained throughout. Some rooms have a balcony with an urban view. Note that the grand staircase means stairs are required for non-ground-floor rooms.

Coffee is available in the shared kitchen, and guests can use the fridge and microwave. There is no restaurant on-site, but several dining options are within a half-mile: Wendy's, Emeril's Delmonico, Mr. Ed's Seafood & Oyster House, Dryades Public Market Cafe, G's Pizza, and Miyako Sushi Bar & Hibachi are all 0.5 km away. The Camilla Grill is also popular for a full meal. Cafe Du Monde is a 15-minute walk or 5-minute streetcar ride away.

The property offers water sport facilities on site for guests interested in aquatic activities. There is no swimming pool, spa, or wellness centre. The quiet house and garden provide a restful base after a day of exploring the city or the nearby parks and riverfront.
