HOTEL WILLIAM, Prague

Hotel William sits in the heart of Malá Strana, one of Prague's most picturesque districts. The tram stop directly outside the hotel connects to the main train station and airport (via transfer), while most major landmarks - Charles Bridge, Petřín Hill, Lennon Wall - are within easy walking distance. The neighbourhood is safe, romantic and filled with restaurants and shops. The hotel also sells the Prague Visitor Pass, which includes unlimited public transport and entry to dozens of attractions.

The hotel offers double, twin, triple and family rooms, all with private bathrooms (showers, free toiletries). Beds are either double (200x180 cm) or twin (200x90 cm). The family suite connects two bedrooms with a king bed and two twins. Rooms are compact, especially the standard doubles, with limited space for large luggage. Furniture and decor are older in style, but rooms are kept clean. Noise is a significant factor: street-facing rooms experience tram rumble, while rear rooms are quieter. Windows do not fully block noise. Air conditioning is not installed, but each room has an electric fan. Some rooms have views of the street or garden. The lift serves the upper floors but stops on half-landings, requiring a short stair climb.

Breakfast is the main dining offering, running from 7:00 to 10:30. The buffet includes scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts, pastries, fruit, cereals, yoghurt, and several bread choices. Diets such as vegetarian, gluten-free and full English/Irish are catered for. Takeaway breakfast packs are available by request at reception the day before. Non-hotel guests can purchase breakfast for 250 CZK. Throughout the day, guests have complimentary access to self-service coffee, tea and juice machines in the breakfast area. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner, but many restaurants, pubs and pizzerias are within a few minutes' walk.

For active recreation, the hotel provides bicycle rental (chargeable) and can arrange walking tours. Petřín Hill, with its lookout tower and mirror maze, is a short walk away. The nearby Kampa Island offers a relaxing green space along the Vltava River. The hotel also facilitates the purchase of the Prague Visitor Pass, which includes free cable car rides to Petřín and entry to many attractions. Bowling, live music and stand-up comedy are available at off-site venues.
