Venice Santa Lucia Station is a 2-minute walk, making train arrivals and departures effortless. The Riva de Biasio vaporetto stop is even closer - ideal for reaching St Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge, and other islands without hauling luggage across bridges. Piazzale Roma, the main bus terminal for airport coaches, is about 9 minutes on foot. The Jewish Ghetto is a 10-minute walk, and the hotel sits on a quiet side street with numerous restaurants, cafés, and shops right outside. Despite its central location, the immediate area is calm at night. The hotel's location is consistently highlighted as its strongest asset, especially for travellers arriving by train or relying on water transport.

Rooms are furnished in a simple, traditional Venetian decor. Each unit includes air conditioning (heating in cooler months), a satellite TV, telephone, and a safety deposit box (free). Wi-Fi is free and works throughout the building. Some rooms have a private bathroom; others share facilities - confirm when booking. A number of rooms have balconies overlooking the city, though none offer canal views. Quadruple rooms are available and can accommodate up to four guests, but space can be tight. Several rooms are on the ground floor, suitable for those with mobility concerns. The on-site lift is very small and slow; the hotel has two sections - one with a lift to the fourth floor and another with ground-floor rooms only. Maintenance and cleanliness vary: some bathrooms have mould or outdated fittings, while others are recently renovated. The building can feel dated, and noise from the street or adjacent rooms can be noticeable - especially if windows are left open for ventilation. A mini-fridge is present in some rooms; there is no kettle.

Breakfast is available for a charge of €10 per person (sometimes included in the room rate). The buffet offers an Italian spread: fresh coffee made to order, croissants, bread, butter, jam, cereal, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, and yoghurt. It is served in a dedicated breakfast room, but you must choose a 30-45 minute time slot at check-in. The breakfast staff enforce these slots strictly; arriving late may mean being turned away, even if the room still has food. For early check-outs, a packed breakfast (croissant, snack, water) can be arranged on request. The coffee is often praised, but the range is basic and some find the options limited and the atmosphere unwelcoming. There is no restaurant on site for lunch or dinner; however, the neighbourhood has dozens of restaurants within a 2-minute walk, offering Italian, pizza, sushi, and more.

Wi-Fi is free and accessible throughout the hotel. A 24-hour front desk handles check-ins and queries, and the staff speak multiple languages. Luggage storage is free and available before check-in and after check-out - it is an unattended room, so use your own lock for secure items. Daily housekeeping is provided, though consistency is variable; some rooms receive fresh towels and made beds, while others may only get rubbish removal. Pets are allowed on request with no extra charge. The hotel has a small bar area. Facilities for disabled guests include ground-floor rooms and a lift to some upper floors (the lift is very small).
