HOTEL SAN MOISE, Venice

The hotel is located in the heart of Venice, 200 metres from La Fenice Theatre and 500 metres from the San Marco vaporetto stop, which connects to Venice Santa Lucia Train Station. The canal-facing property is on a busy service route: small cargo boats deliver supplies to local shops and restaurants until early afternoon, and gondolas pass in the afternoon and evening. The front entrance opens onto a street lined with luxury boutiques and restaurants (Vino Vino, Caffe Al Teatro, Ristorante Al Theatro - all 0.5 km away). Water taxis can pick up and drop off directly at the hotel's canal entrance. The Alilaguna public boat from Marco Polo Airport stops at San Marco Giardini, 5 minutes on foot; a water taxi costs about €160. From Santa Lucia train station, take ACTV steamboats lines 1, 2 or N to San Marco.

Rooms feature a Venetian décor with antique furnishings, Murano glass chandeliers, and tiled bathrooms with a bath or shower and a hairdryer. Each room includes air conditioning, satellite flat-screen TV, minibar, electric kettle, safe deposit box, and soundproofing. The superior family room is larger than the classic family room and offers a canal view; the classic family room does not have a canal view. The triple superior room also has a canal view. Only two rooms in the hotel have a balcony. Some rooms are on a mezzanine level with a loft-style layout - the loft ceiling height is about 1.77 m, which may not suit taller adults. Rooms facing the canal can be noisy from early-morning cargo boat activity (from around 5:30 am) and cigarette smoke from boat workers. The family room configuration includes one double bed and two single beds. All rooms have key-card power slots; removing the key cuts electricity to outlets, so devices cannot charge while the key is away.

Breakfast is a buffet offering bread, pastries, croissants, cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, ham, cheese, fruit juices, coffee (from a machine), and sometimes Prosecco. It is served from approximately 7:30 to 10:00 in a lower-level room with panoramic windows overlooking the canal. In summer, drinks may be served in the courtyard. There is no restaurant or bar on site for lunch or dinner; the hotel has an arrangement with a nearby restaurant.
