AIR IN BERLIN, Berlin

The hotel sits on a quiet residential sidestreet, yet is steps from Berlin's premier shopping boulevard, Kurfürstendamm. KaDeWe is a 5-10 minute walk, and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is 10 minutes away. The Zoo railway station (Bahnhof Zoo) is about 10 minutes on foot, offering direct regional trains (RE7, RB14) to BER airport. Wittenbergplatz station (U-Bahn lines U1, U2, U3) is 3 minutes away, connecting directly to Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz, and the gay district along Motzstraße/Fuggerstraße (10 minutes walk). Buses 100 and 200 stop nearby, providing easy sightseeing access. The area is safe and well-served by restaurants, cafés, and shops. A taxi from BER airport costs approximately €65-70.

Accommodation includes single, double, twin, and family rooms. Family rooms comprise one single and one double room with an extra bed, or a double room with a sofa bed. Some rooms have a terrace or patio with garden access. Renovated rooms are particularly spacious and face the quiet courtyard; others are smaller, with some bathrooms described as very compact. Many rooms have a minibar, cable TV, hairdryer, safe, and free Wi-Fi. All rooms have private bathrooms with soap/shampoo dispensers. Bedding and towels are changed daily. Rooms have heating but no air conditioning; portable fans are provided in warmer months. Some rooms have windows that do not open or are on upper floors with skylights. Road-facing rooms can be noisier, especially on lower floors. Pillows and mattresses are a common point of variation - some find them comfortable, others too soft or thick.

The €15 breakfast buffet runs from 07:00 to 10:30 in a relatively compact dining room. It includes bread rolls, cooked ham, smoked ham, eggs (scrambled/fried/boiled), cheese, sausages, coffee, tea, cocoa, and fruit. Cappuccino, latte macchiato, and espresso are available for a surcharge. The breakfast room can become crowded at peak times. For other meals, the hotel bar serves coffee, beer, and snacks, and in fine weather the summer garden (courtyard/terrace) is open. A coffee house is on site. The surrounding area is packed with dining options - within a 5-minute walk you'll find German, Italian, and international restaurants, plus the famous KaDeWe gourmet food halls.

There is no wellness centre, swimming pool, or fitness room. The hotel's garden and terrace provide a quiet outdoor space for relaxation. The shared lounge/TV area is available. The main leisure draw is the surrounding area: the Kurfürstendamm shopping boulevard, KaDeWe, Zoologischer Garten Berlin, and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church are all within 10 minutes' walk. The hotel is a practical base for exploring Berlin's cultural and nightlife scene, including the nearby LGBTIQ+ district on Motzstraße.
