ARTHOTEL CONNECTION, Berlin

The hotel occupies the third floor of a Berlin Art Nouveau building in the heart of the Regenbogen-Kiez, directly above the Prinzknecht bar. Wittenbergplatz U-Bahn station (routes U1, U2, U3, U4) is a 3-5 minute walk, providing direct connections to the city centre, central station, and both airports (Berlin Brandenburg Airport reachable in under an hour by public transport). Kurfürstendamm is also a short stroll away. The area is safe, very walkable, and surrounded by numerous restaurants, cafés, and shops (Lidl, Rewe within a few minutes). Despite some street noise from the bar below, rooms facing the courtyard are notably quiet. The neighbourhood is well-served by public transport, making a car unnecessary for most trips.

Standard Single Rooms (9-15 m2) offer a single bed and a private shower/WC - a cost-effective choice for solo travellers. The Single Budget (9-12 m2) is even more affordable but has a shower and washbasin in the room, with a shared toilet on the corridor. Standard Double Rooms (approx. 18 m2) feature queen-size beds or twins on request, with private bathroom. Comfort Double Rooms (approx. 25 m2) add a king-size bed, French balcony in some units, and a bathtub or shower. The Junior Suite (35 m2) has original stucco ceilings, a king-size bed in a jailhouse design, a separate sofa corner that can serve as an extra bed, and a private bathroom. All rooms include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, parquet flooring, heating, a safe, and a seating area. The building has a historic lift (reached by 5 steps at ground floor). Rooms facing the street can experience noise from the bar below; courtyard rooms are very quiet.

The breakfast buffet (available for an additional charge, approx. €18) is laid out in a room with original Art Deco chandelier, high ceiling, and zebra-pattern chairs. Offerings include freshly prepared scrambled, fried, and boiled eggs, fresh rolls, brown bread, toast, muesli, yoghurt, fruit salad, sausage, cheese, coffee, tea, water, and fruit juices. A vegan breakfast can be ordered in advance. The buffet is available from 7:30 to 12:00 (earlier upon request). Breakfast is consistently described as plentiful and of good quality. The hotel has no restaurant, but there are many excellent dining options within a 2-3 minute walk, including Indian, Italian, and German restaurants, and a coffee house on site.

The hotel does not have a spa, swimming pool, gym, or any other wellness or leisure facilities. For relaxation, guests can enjoy the quiet neighbourhood, stroll to the nearby Tiergarten park, or explore the vibrant LGBTQ+ nightlife directly outside the hotel. The Prinzknecht bar is popular for pre-drinks, and Viktoria-Luise-Platz offers ice cream and a pleasant square.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Luggage storage is available at no charge. The hotel has a lift (with 5 steps at ground level), CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and a safety deposit box. Housekeeping operates daily from 9:00 to 14:00, changing towels and cleaning rooms. Pets are allowed on request with a €12/day surcharge. Parking is available at a nearby public garage for €18/day by reservation only. There is no airport shuttle, no room service for meals, and no restaurant or bar on site. The hotel is adults-only.
