The hotel lies in the heart of Berlin Mitte, just off Friedrichstrasse. Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, and Museum Island are all within a 10-15 minute walk. Friedrichstrasse station (U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and regional trains) is roughly 5 minutes on foot, giving direct connections across the city and to Berlin Brandenburg Airport (about 1 hour by public transport). Berlin Central Station is 1 km away. The area around the hotel is lively, with a wide choice of restaurants, bars, and cafés within a few hundred metres. The Spree river bank is also a short stroll away. For marathon participants, the start/finish line at Straße des 17. Juni is about a 10-15 minute walk.

All rooms include a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries, and hairdryer. Soundproofing is fitted, but a number of rooms face the street or inner courtyard, where noise from traffic, neighbouring apartments, and the building's heavy front door can still be audible during the night. Rooms vary in size; some single and double rooms are compact, while larger quadruple rooms offer more space. Beds are standard, though a few travellers have noted mattresses that are soft or show wear. Furniture and decor are functional and older in style. Heating is provided, but there is no air conditioning - opening windows is the only cooling option, and windows lack mosquito screens. Wi-Fi is free but requires the password from reception; connection stability can vary between rooms. Rooms have no fridge, and televisions are flat-screen but may experience intermittent issues. Towels are changed every 3 days by default, with earlier changes available for a surcharge. Late check-in is possible via a key box after prior arrangement.

The buffet-style breakfast is served in a separate building a short walk from the accommodation wing, starting at 08:00. The selection is simple and includes bread rolls, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, boiled eggs, and a cereal option. Hot drinks include filter coffee and instant coffee, along with tea. For those with gluten intolerance, no gluten-free options are provided; the hotel can store personal food items in a fridge if needed. Afternoon coffee is sometimes available. The hotel itself has no restaurant or bar, but the surrounding streets offer a large number of restaurants, cafés, and bars within a 3-5 minute walk. For very early departures, it is possible to leave luggage at reception and get breakfast the day before as a packed option if arranged.
