The hotel is situated on Calle degli Specchieri, a narrow street that leads directly to the Basilica of San Marco. This central position puts the Rialto Bridge, the Gran Teatro la Fenice, and major museums such as the Ducal Palace and Correr Museum within a short walk. The nearest water-bus stop (Calle Vallaresso) is a few minutes away; vaporetti lines 1 and 2 serve the area. For those arriving by car, paid garages are at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto, and from there you take a vaporetto or water taxi. The Marco Polo Airport can be reached via Alilaguna ferry or water taxi, disembarking at St. Mark's. The area around the hotel is filled with boutiques and restaurants, and because it's so close to the main square, you can easily return to your room during the day.

Rooms are available in two categories. Classic rooms are smaller, elegantly decorated, and come with satellite TV, air conditioning, direct phone, and free Wi-Fi. They can be configured as single, double, triple, or quadruple. Superior rooms are larger with refined furniture, a flat-screen TV, mini bar, and a bathroom in yellow marble with a Whirlpool tub. They are available as double or triple. All rooms have private bathrooms with a shower and/or bathtub, a hairdryer, and a safety deposit box. The hotel has a lift, but some rooms - particularly in the annex building - may only be accessible by stairs. Rooms in the annex are older and may feel more dated. Those facing the courtyard or with small windows can be darker and noisier in the morning. The accommodation generally feels traditional and historic rather than modern, which suits the Venice atmosphere but may not appeal to everyone.

Breakfast is a continental buffet offering bread, pastries, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, and hot drinks. The breakfast room is located in the main building and can feel crowded during peak hours. In-room breakfast is available for a surcharge, and you can request it at reception. The hotel's restaurant and Bar Ai Speci serve dinner (evening meals) with Venetian specialities and international dishes, open until midnight. The bar offers a traditional Spritz aperitif, espresso, and cocktails in a historic setting with wooden panelling and mirrors. For guests who need to leave before 08:00, no take-away or early breakfast is provided, so plan accordingly.
