Walking to St Mark's Square takes 20-30 minutes via the Rialto or Accademia bridges; the Rialto Bridge is about 10 minutes on foot. Because the area is pedestrian-only and low on tourist traffic, you can reach the Grand Canal and major sights quickly while staying in a quiet, local neighbourhood filled with cafés, bacari (wine bars), and small restaurants - all within 0.5 km. Google Maps may misdirect; use the hotel's own directions (Corte Surian, Dorsoduro) or ask staff for the best route.
