HOTEL PALAZZO VITTURI, Venice

The hotel is well placed for exploring Venice on foot: the Rialto Bridge is 5 minutes away, the Doge's Palace 6 minutes, and St. Mark's Square 7 minutes. The nearest vaporetto (water bus) stops are Rialto (5-7 min walk) and San Zaccaria (6-8 min walk). From Marco Polo Airport, take a private water taxi (drops you at the hotel) or a bus to Piazzale Roma plus a vaporetto to Rialto. Santa Lucia train station is a 30-minute walk or a 7-minute vaporetto ride (€7.50) to Rialto. For drivers, park at Piazzale Roma (discount available at Garage San Marco) and continue by vaporetto. The square itself has several restaurants, cafés, and a gondola stop, making it a lively yet peaceful base.

All rooms include air conditioning, heating, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, coffee/tea facilities, and a private bathroom. The Superior room blends classic design with modern comfort, while the Deluxe and Deluxe Suite categories feature French balconies, original frescoes, and views of Campo Santa Maria Formosa. The Family Room is spacious, with comfortable beds and a large bathroom, ideal for families. The Junior Suite offers extra space and natural light. Some rooms overlook the square (lively) while others face the internal courtyard (quieter). Note: the hotel has no elevator - rooms are accessed via steep, historic stairs. Interconnecting rooms are available on request. Recent updates have improved some rooms, though a few may show signs of age (e.g., uneven floors, older bathrooms). For the best experience, choose a Deluxe or Suite category.

Breakfast includes fresh bread, Italian pastries, seasonal fruit, espresso, and a variety of sweet and savoury items. Gluten-free and vegan products are available on request. The hotel also has a bar, a snack bar, and a coffee shop. The on-site restaurant, Ristorante Santa Maria Formosa, serves Italian cuisine in a traditional, romantic setting and is open for brunch, lunch, dinner, and cocktails (hours 11:00-23:00). A welcome drink is offered upon arrival, and in-room breakfast can be arranged for an extra charge. Many traditional bacari and restaurants are within a 2-minute walk around the square.

Leisure options are focused on exploring Venice: guests can book gondola rides, walking tours, and tickets to local museums through the tour desk. The hotel also provides complimentary tickets to a Murano glass factory tour (with free transport) and access to temporary art galleries. The square itself has a market and benches, ideal for people-watching. For children, babysitting services are available for an extra charge, and the nearby square offers space for play. The lack of on-site wellness facilities means most downtime is spent outdoors or in the rooms.
