The Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas are a 20-minute walk downhill. A taxi to the port costs about 20 EUR; the airport transfer runs around 30-50 EUR. Soundproofing is partial - some street and metro noise can be heard on lower floors, so higher-floor rooms are preferable for light sleepers.
