BARCELONA APARTMENT VAL, Barcelona

The apartments sit on Barcelona's prime shopping boulevard, Passeig de Gràcia, placing you among designer stores, tapas bars, and Modernist architecture. Plaça de Catalunya and Las Ramblas are within a 10-minute walk, while Gaudi's Casa Batlló and La Pedrera are even closer. The metro station is a 3-minute walk away, providing direct access to the Sagrada Família and other attractions without needing a car. Despite the central location, apartments facing the inner courtyard are notably quiet. A supermarket is just 10 metres from the building, and a wide variety of restaurants - including Tapa Tapa, Tapas 24, and Epicerie - are within a 5-minute walk. The area feels safe even when returning late, and the neighbourhood offers a chic, lively atmosphere with easy access to both sightseeing and everyday essentials.

The apartments come in configurations from 1 to 3 bedrooms, all featuring contemporary decor, high ceilings, tiled floors, and city views. Each unit includes a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine, and washing machine/tumble dryer. The living area has a flat-screen TV, a sofa bed, and a dining table. Beds are available as king-size or twins, and some apartments have a sofa bed that can be made up on request. Executive 2-bedroom apartments often have two bathrooms and include an elevator to all floors. Rooms are described as spacious, with the smaller twin rooms being more compact. Balconies are present in some apartments, but smoking is strictly prohibited even on balconies. Bedrooms facing the inner courtyard offer a very quiet environment, while street-facing rooms have views of the boulevard. The apartments are cleaned on request for stays under 6 nights, and fresh bedding and towels are provided for sofa-bed setup. A safe is available in the apartment.

The apartments do not have their own pool, but all guests can use the outdoor swimming pool at the nearby Hotel Suites Avenue, located 300 metres away on Passeig de Gràcia. The pool is open year-round. This is a practical bonus, especially during warmer months, and is noted as a welcome addition for families. There is no spa, gym, or other wellness facility on site, so the pool is the primary leisure facility available. The pool is accessed via the same group of hotels, so key collection at the Claris Hotel also provides access arrangements.

The apartments are managed by the Claris Hotel, where check-in, key collection, and luggage storage are handled. The 24-hour front desk at the hotel provides a smooth process, and luggage can be left before check-in or after check-out at no extra charge. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartments and the password is obtained from reception. The building has a lift, which is helpful for suitcases and those with mobility needs. A safety deposit box is available in the apartment. Parking is available at a nearby public garage 50 metres away (Hotel Claris) for €35.20 per night, no reservation required; there is also an electric vehicle charging station. Pets are not allowed, and the property is entirely non-smoking. Daily cleaning is not included for stays under 6 nights but can be purchased for €50. The service staff at the Claris Hotel are noted as helpful and friendly, and additional services such as concierge, tour desk, and assistance with luggage are available.
