The hotel sits on a quiet street just 200 metres from the Duomo. All major attractions - the Uffizi Gallery (7-minute walk), Ponte Vecchio (600 metres), and Basilica of Santa Croce (5-minute walk) - are within easy walking distance. Santa Maria Novella station is a 20-minute walk on foot. The street is lively, but rooms facing the courtyard are quiet. Several restaurants, cafes, and a supermarket are within a few minutes' walk. Late-night arrival is safe; taxis are recommended for early morning airport transfers as no shuttle is available.

Rooms come in several configurations: some have a private bathroom and shower, some have a shower and sink with a shared toilet on the floor, and others have a sink only with shared toilet and shower. Family rooms with extra bed options are available. Rooms are generally spacious. Most rooms have a cooling fan, central heating, electric kettle, free Wi-Fi, and a safety deposit box. Some rooms have a view of the Cathedral. There is no air conditioning in most rooms; fans are provided. Sound insulation is limited - noise from corridors and adjacent rooms can be heard. Road-facing rooms may also hear street noise. The building dates from 1538, with high ceilings and historic charm. No rooms have a balcony. An iron is available on request.
