HOTEL NIZZA, Florence

The hotel sits on a quiet street between the station and all major sights - Medici Chapels (200 m), San Lorenzo Market (200 m), and Palazzo Vecchio (10 minutes on foot). The tram from the airport (T2, 20 minutes, 1.50 EUR) stops a 5-minute walk away. Numerous restaurants, including Trattoria Za Za, Mattacena, and Sabatini Firenze, are within 300 m. The location is walkable for all sightseeing, making a car unnecessary for most visitors. Parking is off-site at a nearby garage (Garage il Giglio, 60 m).

Rooms are furnished with walnut furniture, terracotta floors, and classic Tuscan materials. Each has air conditioning, heating, a 22 or 26-inch satellite LED TV, safe, hairdryer, and electric kettle with tea/coffee. The rooms have double-glazed windows to reduce street noise, though some street-facing rooms can still be audible; rooms at the rear are quieter. Bathrooms are compact - some with very small showers - and include free toiletries. Triple and quadruple rooms are spacious enough to accommodate a cot on request. No rooms feature a balcony. The lift is available from the reception floor upward, not from the street entrance.

The hotel does not offer a fitness centre, spa, or pool. Leisure is focused entirely on Florence's cultural attractions, all within walking distance: the Duomo, Uffizi, Galleria dell'Accademia, and the Medici Chapels. The property itself is a historic building, and the surrounding area provides ample opportunity for walking tours and exploration.

The reception is staffed 24 hours, with concierge and tour desk services. Luggage storage is free both before check-in and after check-out, and a bathroom is available if needed during that time. Daily housekeeping is complimentary. The property offers room service, a bar lounge, a coffee shop on site, and welcome drinks. Business facilities (fax/photocopying, meeting/banquet) are available for an additional charge. A self-service laundromat (Wash & Dry) is open 07:30-23:00 nearby. The lift operates from the reception floor to all upper floors. Pets are allowed (charges may apply). Safety features include CCTV, key card access, 24-hour security, and in-room safe.
