Hotel Centro sits on Via de' Ginori in the San Lorenzo district, just two minutes from Piazza San Lorenzo and a five-minute walk from the Duomo. The Accademia Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza della Signoria are all reachable on foot. Santa Maria Novella station is an 8-10 minute walk, and Florence Airport is 15 minutes by car. The property lies within Florence's ZTL (limited traffic zone); nearby Garage Sant'Orsola can manage ZTL permits for drivers. A supermarket is adjacent, and numerous restaurants and cafés line the surrounding streets.

The renovated rooms feature satellite TV, minibar, safe, hairdryer, and soundproof walls in most cases, though some rooms have thinner walls that may transmit noise from neighbouring rooms or the street. The double/twin rooms offer a choice of double or twin beds with private bathroom. Triple rooms (17 m2) suit small groups or families. Quadruple rooms (20 m2) provide one double and two single beds or four singles. The single room (10 m2) has a shared external bathroom. Bed firmness varies, with some describing the mattresses as firm. The lift is compact and operates only during staff hours, requiring stairs for upper floors outside those times. No rooms have a balcony.

Hotel Centro does not operate a restaurant or serve a full breakfast. A small café area in the lobby provides coffee and tea, and vending machines offer snacks and drinks.
