B&B RESIDENZA LE FONTICINE, Florence

The B&B occupies the first floor of a historic palazzo on a main street, offering direct access to the Central Market and a short stroll to Piazza del Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and the main shopping areas. Santa Maria Novella Station is a 5-minute walk, and the tram stop to Florence Airport is directly opposite. The area is lively with restaurants, bars, and gelaterias within 300 metres, but some street-facing rooms may let in traffic noise. Luggage can be stored free of charge before check-in or after check-out, making the location ideal for day trips or early/late arrivals.

Rooms are furnished with parquet flooring, a desk, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. The property offers double, triple, quadruple, and family rooms - some with 3 beds for larger groups. Beds are widely described as comfortable, with triple rooms occasionally providing extra blankets instead of additional duvets. A few rooms are noted as small or dark, particularly those facing an internal light well, so reviewing your specific room layout at booking is advisable. Bathrooms are private but can be compact in the smallest units; water pressure and heating are generally good. While many rooms have soundproof walls and windows, some street-facing units on lower floors report traffic noise. Daily housekeeping includes fresh towels and bed-making but may not cover thorough cleaning unless requested. A safety deposit box is available free of charge.

The B&B provides 24-hour security with CCTV, key-card and key access, and a concierge service. The front desk offers private check-in/check-out, tour desk assistance, and invoice provision. Additional services such as bicycle rental (charged), walking tours, and cooking classes are available off-site. The property has no parking, no restaurant, and no spa, but is well equipped for city-break travellers who prefer to explore on foot or by public transport. Cots are available for families upon request. Cleaning schedules follow the daily housekeeping routine, which may require a specific request for deeper servicing.
