LA QUINTA INN & SUITES BY WYNDHAM DOWNTOWN ASHEVILLE, Asheville

The property is conveniently located 4 km from the Biltmore Estate and within 7 km of several breweries. A bus stop is directly in front of the hotel, making downtown accessible without a car. The immediate area includes a variety of dining options such as O'Charley's, Chili's, and Panera Bread, all within a 0.5 km walk. While the location offers easy interstate access, the surrounding area has a notable presence of unhoused individuals, which may affect the perception of safety, particularly at night.

Accommodations range from double rooms with one bed to quadruple rooms with two beds and suites with a separate living area. All rooms are non-smoking and include a microwave, small refrigerator, flat-screen cable TV, and ironing facilities. Room views face either Tunnel Road or the wooded area and back parking lot; there are no balconies. Some rooms have adjoining doors, though availability cannot be guaranteed. The overall feel is clean and recently updated, but mattresses vary in firmness, and some rooms may experience noise from the road or neighbouring rooms.

The indoor pool is heated and open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, with a current capacity limit of five people at a time. The hot tub has been reported as non-operational for extended periods. The fitness centre includes basic equipment, though weights and additional machines are limited. A shared lounge with a TV is available, and a coin-operated laundry facility is on-site ($2 for washer, $1 for dryer).

Parking is free on-site but requires a reservation and includes accessible spaces. The 24-hour front desk provides express check-in/out and luggage storage. Other services include a business centre, a minimarket, and a vending area for snacks and drinks. Daily housekeeping has resumed. The hotel has a lift serving five floors. Wi-Fi is free throughout, though bandwidth has been described as unreliable for consistent streaming or work. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, and key card access.
