For canal boat tours, the departure points are about 5 minutes on foot. If arriving by car, use Q-Park Amsterdam Nieuwendijk (Nieuwezijds Kolk 18) rather than searching for street parking.

Room categories include Single (compact for one), Double (available as a double bed or two twin frames that push together but may separate), Triple (suitable for up to three people), and the Bootz Suite (spacious with separate living room and bedroom, bathroom with bath and rain shower, heated floor, and large washbasin). All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and toilet; none have a bath except the suite. Soundproofing between rooms and from the street is minimal, so rooms facing the rear tend to be quieter. Several upper-floor rooms are loft-style with limited window height. Room comfort varies; some units have been recently renovated, while others feel older but are well-maintained. A few rooms have had issues with dim lighting or lukewarm water when the boiler is under strain - guests should report any problems to the 24-hour front desk immediately.

The breakfast includes standard continental items such as several types of bread, cheeses, ham, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, and juice. There are no hot options like scrambled eggs or bacon. The breakfast room can be crowded during peak times.
