The surrounding area offers many restaurants and shops within a short walk, and the central city can be reached on foot in about 30 minutes.

Dormitory rooms vary from 4 to 8 beds and often have bunk beds. Some dorms are female-only. Rooms are generally small, with limited personal storage; each bed includes a locker (70x25x65 cm) requiring your own padlock. Larger electronic lockers are available for rent. Private rooms can include twin or triple beds. Most rooms have carpeted floors and heating, but no air conditioning or opening windows, which can lead to stuffiness. Noise from the bar and other guests can be an issue, especially in rooms close to the bar or on lower floors. The steep stairs and lack of an elevator mean rooms on higher floors require a significant climb.

Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00 and includes breads, cereals, milk, soymilk, boiled eggs, cheese, cold cuts, cream cheese, vegetables, fruits, and juices. The on-site bar offers drinks and hot snacks, with a happy hour and events like pub quizzes and karaoke. There is no restaurant, but the shared kitchen (open 12:30-22:20) has a stove, microwave, fridge, and cooking equipment for self-catering. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available at breakfast. For other meals, many cafés and restaurants are a short walk away.

The hostel has a billiard table and organises evening entertainment such as beer-pong, pub quizzes, karaoke, and staff dinners. A designated smoking room adjacent to the bar also provides a social space. Vondelpark, right next to the hostel, is ideal for walking, jogging, or relaxing. The proximity to Museumplein means world-class museums are a short walk away.

Luggage storage is available via coin-operated electronic lockers; free in-room lockers require your own padlock or one purchased at reception. The shared kitchen is open from 12:30 to 22:20. No airport shuttle, laundry, or business facilities are available. The bar area is the main common space, which can become loud in the evenings, making it less suitable for working.
