The property is situated just 750 metres from the Anne Frank House and an 8-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. From Dam Square, trams reach Museum Square and the Van Gogh Museum in 10 minutes. The immediate area includes the Red Light District and the Nine Streets shopping area. Schiphol Airport is a 17-minute train ride from Central Station, with trains every 15 minutes from 06:00 to midnight. Paid parking is available at Q-park Amsterdam Centraal (Prins Hendrikskade 20A), roughly 5 minutes' walk away; daily rates are around €60, with discounts for online advance booking. The annex building is accessed via an alley that passes through the Red Light District.

The hotel offers 38 rooms across two buildings. The main building (Tourist Inn Hotel, 3-star) has recently renovated private rooms (1-4 persons) with private bathrooms and a lift. The annex (Tourist Inn One, 2-star) is a canal-house with a classic Dutch staircase (no lift), featuring private rooms with shared bathrooms. Both buildings provide free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, keycard access, safes or lockers, and free towels and bed linen. Rooms are compact and simply furnished. Dormitories (mixed and female-only) have 6 beds per room, privacy curtains, personal lockers (suitable for cabin-size luggage), and reading lights. Soundproofing between rooms is minimal, and rooms facing the street or common areas can be noisy. The annex's steep, narrow stairs are challenging with large luggage. Road-facing rooms are best avoided by light sleepers.

The complimentary breakfast offers bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, coffee, tea, and juice. It is served in the lobby lounge or as a to-go bag. The same daily selection provides a practical start. The hotel has no restaurant or bar, but a vending machine for drinks and snacks is available. The lobby has a shared microwave, cutlery, and plates. Numerous cafés and restaurants are within a 0.5 km walk. Entries cannot exclude breakfast from the room rate.
