FOUND HOTELS, SANTA BARBARA, SERIES BY MARRIOTT, Santa Barbara

The hotel is ideally placed near UCSB (12 km) and Santa Barbara Airport (9 km), making it convenient for university visits and travel. Shopping centers, including Macy's and Target, are directly across the street, and numerous dining options like Panera Bread, Lure Fish House, and Chipotle are within a 5-minute walk. The location is car-friendly with free on-site parking, but downtown and the beach are a short drive away. The immediate area is safe and walkable for errands and meals, though a car is recommended for exploring the broader city.

All guestrooms include private decks or balconies, large refrigerators, coffeemakers, and C.O. Bigelow bath amenities. Accommodations range from double rooms with one or two beds to suites with sofa beds, some featuring hot tubs. The renovated rooms are modern and clean, with comfortable beds and large TVs. However, rooms are not well soundproofed, and noise from hallways, neighboring rooms, and upper floors can be disruptive. Some units lack microwaves despite descriptions, and automatic bathroom lights can be inconvenient. Ground-floor rooms with patios offer easy access, while upper-floor rooms require stairs. Rooms facing the road may experience traffic noise.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and generally reliable. Parking is free but requires a reservation and can be tight, especially for larger trucks; the lot has one-way drives. The 24-hour front desk offers concierge service, express check-in/check-out, and luggage storage. Daily housekeeping is provided, though guests have reported occasional inconsistencies. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for a fee. A minimarket on site offers basic snacks and drinks. The hotel accepts American Express, Visa, JCB, Discover, and MasterCard. Pets are allowed for a $40 fee, and service animals are always welcome without fees. There is no elevator, and only one ADA-compliant room (room 286) is available, which has a roll-in shower.
