HOLIDAY INN OXNARD - VENTURA BY IHG, Oxnard

The hotel is less than 2 km from The Collection River Park, a mixed-use development with shopping, dining, and a cinema. Oxnard beach is a 10-15-minute drive, and Channel Islands Harbor is 17 minutes away by car. Camarillo Premium Outlets are 13 km from the property. The area is car-dependent but parking is free and abundant. The immediate surroundings are dominated by parking lots and freeway access, making it a practical base for travellers with a vehicle.

All rooms include a coffee maker (not Keurig), work desk, and heating. Bed configurations include king rooms (max 2 adults) and queen rooms with two beds. The King Suite offers a separate living area. Several reviews note that beds are comfortable, though some found them too firm. Room noise can be an issue: walls are thin, and ground-floor rooms facing the parking lot may pick up traffic sound and smoke from the walkway. Higher-floor rooms overlooking the pool are quieter. Housekeeping consistency varies: some stays reported full daily service, while others received only towel replacements or no service at all. The property was converted from a Marriott to an IHG brand and has undergone a full renovation.

Breakfast at the restaurant is available for purchase (not complimentary) and includes options like American and vegetarian dishes; a breakfast-to-go bag is also offered. The dinner menu features American fare, and the bar serves wine, champagne, and cocktails. Starbucks coffee is available through the Bistro counter. For those who prefer to eat out, several casual restaurants are within walking distance, including Mexican, seafood, and Hawaiian options. The on-site minimarket stocks packaged snacks and drinks.

Parking is free, plentiful, and does not require a reservation; an electric vehicle charging station is available. Wi-Fi is free in public areas (not in-room by default). Luggage storage is complimentary. The business centre offers fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities for an additional charge. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for a fee, but the self-service laundry consists of only one washer and dryer for the entire hotel. Accessibility features include roll-in showers, grab rails, lowered outlets, hearing-accessible kits, and accessible parking and entrances. The property is non-smoking throughout, with a designated smoking area. Safety features include key card access, smoke alarms, and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
