The hotel is located at the junction of the M8 motorway and Charing Cross station, making it easy to reach by car, train, or bus. Glasgow Central Station is a 20-minute walk, and the city's main shopping streets, nightlife in Merchant City, and cultural venues like the King's Theatre are all within a 10- to 15-minute stroll. The multi-storey car park next door offers a discounted 24-hour rate, and the property is well-served by public transport for exploring the city without a car. Several cafes, bars, and restaurants are within a few minutes' walk, though the hotel itself no longer operates a bar or restaurant.

The hotel offers Standard Double, Twin (two single beds), Family (double + pull-out bed), and Superior Double rooms, all en-suite. Some rooms have large smart TVs and city-view windows, though many are on lower floors overlooking the car park. The decor is dated and basic, with worn furniture and limited storage. Room heating is centrally controlled and cannot be adjusted locally - windows are small (approx. 25 cm opening) so ventilation is limited. A fan is provided in each room. The hotel was formerly a Premier Inn and retains the same mattress type (often described as very comfortable), but cleanliness and condition vary widely. Higher floors offer panoramic views of Glasgow. No in-room safes or mini-bars are provided, and tea/coffee sachets are replenished only on request.

Breakfast is available for an additional charge of £11-£12 per person and includes a full cooked buffet (bacon, eggs, hash browns, etc.) as well as continental options like pastries, fruit, and cereal. Breakfast times are Monday-Friday 6:30am-9:45am and weekends 7am-10:30am. The on-site bar and restaurant have been closed since the hotel changed hands (August 2025), so no lunch or dinner is served on the property. The hotel shares a building with a Thyme restaurant, but that outlet is also closed. Guests should plan to eat at the many nearby cafes and restaurants along Sauchiehall Street, Argyle Street, and in Merchant City.

There are no wellness or leisure amenities on site. Guests looking to exercise or relax can walk to Kelvingrove Park (10 minutes) or visit the Riverside Museum and Glasgow Science Centre about 20 minutes away on foot. The hotel's value lies entirely in its central location and basic accommodation rather than any recreational offerings.

WiFi is complimentary in the lobby and mezzanine level but is chargeable in guest bedrooms. The hotel has three lifts, though one is often out of service, and waits can be long. A 24-hour front desk handles check-in, luggage storage, and discounted car-park validation. Meeting/banquet facilities are available for an additional charge. The hotel offers a vending machine for snacks and drinks. Housekeeping is not automatic: guests must request cleaning at reception and use a door hanger by 12pm if they want their room serviced. Safety features include CCTV, key-card access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers.
