The touring section's hardstanding pitches are well-laid-out and separated by hedges, though the main paths around the park can become muddy after rain. For families visiting Edinburgh, the bus service makes a car optional.

The park has one restaurant, Boatie Blest, serving pub-grub meals. Opening hours are limited - food service may end as early as 7:45pm - and the restaurant can be busy with no tables available for walk-ins. The chip shop provides fish and chips but is closed on certain days; the quality of the fish and chips has been described as inconsistent and not fresh. The on-site mini market stocks groceries and is reasonably priced. For those wanting more variety, a larger Co-op is a short drive away, and there are several independent takeaways in the nearby village of Port Seton.
