CASA CONSELL BAILEN, GUEST HOUSE, Barcelona

The property lies on Gran Via, just around the corner from Tetuan metro station, putting most landmarks within a 20-minute walk. Passeig de Gracia Station is an 8-minute walk away. Casa Batllo (1 km), Palau de la Musica Catalana (1 km), and Sagrada Familia (1 km) are all easily reached on foot. Somorrostro Beach is 3 km away, and Barcelona El Prat Airport is 14 km from the property. The location is ideal for exploring on foot, by metro, or by bus. A secure paid parking garage is available three blocks away for those arriving by car. The surrounding area is safe and has numerous restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets within a 5-minute walk.

Accommodation includes double, triple, and family rooms, all with private bathrooms, hairdryers, free toiletries, and showers. Each room has a flat-screen TV, work desk, wardrobe, and free WiFi. Many rooms overlook Gran Via or Bailén street, and several include a private patio or terrace - particularly useful for those who enjoy outdoor space. The double and triple rooms facing Gran Via are bright and elegantly decorated with original Catalan features and high ceilings. The family room is spacious and overlooks Bailén street, which is quieter. Road-facing rooms may pick up some street noise, but soundproofing and closed windows keep interiors quiet enough for light sleepers. Daily housekeeping is provided.

The property does not have a restaurant or a full breakfast service, but the communal kitchen is a practical alternative. It is stocked with free coffee, tea, muffins, and basic pastries each day, and includes a toaster, microwave, kettle, and a large refrigerator where guests can store their own purchases. The kitchen is cleaned daily. Several supermarkets (including Carrefour) are within a 5-minute walk, and a wide range of restaurants and tapas bars are located on the same block - including Xampu Xampany, Restaurante Cierzo, and Mayura, all 0.5 km away. The shared kitchen space makes it easy to prepare simple meals or store snacks for sightseeing.

Casa Consell Bailen offers a sun terrace accessible to all guests, which provides a pleasant outdoor space to unwind with views over the city. There is also a small shared balcony and a private courtyard available for some rooms. Boating activities are available in the surrounding area, though the property itself does not have a pool, gym, or spa. The central location makes it easy to reach Barcelona's beaches (Somorrostro is 3 km away) and parks within a short walk or metro ride.
