HOTEL CHARLES CENTRAL, Prague

The hotel sits directly on the yellow metro line (Křižíkova station), providing a two-stop journey to the Old Town Square and easy tram connections. Prague's main railway station (Hlavní nádraží) is a short metro ride via Florenc. The surrounding Karlín neighbourhood is lively with restaurants, cafés, and small shops, including a Lidl supermarket nearby. The area is pedestrian-friendly and generally quiet at night, though some street noise may reach front-facing rooms. Florenc central bus station is one metro stop or a 10-minute walk, making connections to other Czech cities straightforward.

Rooms are available in double, triple, and quadruple configurations, all with private bathrooms (shower or bathtub). Some rooms feature city-view balconies, while others are designated non-smoking. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, hairdryer, and free toiletries. The property lacks air conditioning; portable fans are provided, but rooms on higher floors or with afternoon sun can become very warm. Noise insulation is average - rooms facing the street may hear tram and café sounds, while courtyard-facing rooms are quieter. Beds are firm; mattresses vary in age. Connecting rooms are available for families. The lift is small (max 3 people) and can be busy during peak times.

Breakfast is the only meal served at the hotel. The buffet includes scrambled or fried eggs, sausages, continental breads, pastries, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheese, and hot drinks. Gluten-free options are clearly labelled. The dining room is compact and can become busy during peak hours. For other meals, the Karlín neighbourhood offers dozens of restaurants within walking distance, including Italian, Vietnamese, and Czech cuisine. A welcome drink voucher is provided at check-in, redeemable at the hotel's bar (open during breakfast hours) or at a partner rooftop bar near the city centre.

The hotel provides complimentary access to a fitness centre located a short walk away (additional charges for some equipment). Guests can also enjoy cycling tours, hiking trails, and a golf course within 3 km (greens fees apply). No swimming pool or spa facilities are available on the property. For relaxation, the surrounding neighbourhood offers parks and the Vltava riverbank a 15-minute walk away. Public transport makes it easy to reach larger wellness centres in the city centre.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all areas. Reception is open 24 hours and can arrange airport transfers (€35 for up to 4 persons), car hire, and currency exchange. Luggage storage is free for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is provided; bed linen is changed every three days. A safety deposit box is available at reception. The hotel offers a free street parking service - guests provide their car license plate at check-in for local zone registration. Garage parking (€23/night) requires advance reservation. An iron is available on request. Laundry service can be arranged at a nearby shop (10-minute walk). Pets are allowed with an additional fee. The lift serves all floors but is small; accessible rooms are available - please request at booking.
