Numerous restaurants, bars, and shops line the streets within a two-block radius. The area is safe and vibrant, with a local rather than touristy feel. For drivers, parking is available at a nearby garage (3130 N Sheffield Ave) costing around $40 per night; advance reservation via Spot Hero is recommended to avoid availability issues.

The hotel offers standard rooms and suites. Standard rooms are compact but functional, with a work desk, carpeted floors, air conditioning, and heating. Suites include a separate seating area with a sofa bed, suitable for up to 4 guests. All rooms have a private bathroom with luxury bathrobes, free toiletries, and either a shower or bathtub. Some rooms have been recently updated, while others retain an older, slightly dated feel. Walls and floors transmit sound from neighbouring rooms and hallways - especially on lower floors. The elevator is small (max 2-3 people) and corridors are narrow. Key cards can be unreliable and may need re-programming. Daily housekeeping is included. Rooms with road-facing windows may hear train announcements, though many report the interior is quiet.

The hotel does not operate a restaurant or bar. A 24-hour self-serve coffee and tea station is available in the lobby. In-room minibars are stocked with snacks and drinks at reasonable prices; complimentary fruit is also provided.
