The hotel is 6 km from downtown Portland, Commercial Street waterfront, and the Old Port district - a 10-15 minute drive by car or shuttle. Thompson's Point concert venue and Hadlock Field baseball stadium are within a 10-minute walk. Maine Medical Center is less than 2 km away, and the Cross Insurance Arena is about 2 km. The Portland International Jetport, Amtrak station, and Concord Coach Lines bus depot are all served by the free hotel shuttle. For guests without a car, the local bus (gpmetro.org) provides frequent service to downtown. The immediate area has a Dunkin' Donuts (0.5 km), Espo's Trattoria (0.5 km), and several other restaurants within 1 km. The neighbourhood is practical for transit, parking is free and ample, and the walk to city sights is comfortable for most.

All guest rooms are air-conditioned and include a private bathroom, curved shower rod, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, desk, voice mail, and cable TV with HBO. Every room has a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Bed options include one double/queen/king or two double/queen beds, all with pillow-top mattresses. Room size is generally above average for an airport hotel, with comfortable beds and adequate desk space for business travellers. The furnishings are older - some rooms show wear: stained carpets, rusted bathroom fixtures, worn armchairs, and dim lighting. The HVAC units can be noisy, cycling on and off, and some rooms have had reports of musty or smoky odours, including in units previously used as pet rooms. Soundproofing is limited; noise from hallways and adjacent rooms can be noticeable. A few rooms have a pleasant view of treetops from upper floors, but there are no balconies. Wheelchair-accessible rooms feature a lower bathroom sink, raised toilet, and grab rails.

Breakfast is available for an additional charge of $15 USD. Full-menu breakfast with hot choices is served Wednesday to Friday from 6:00-10:00 AM and Saturday/Sunday from 7:00-11:00 AM. The indoor swimming pool is open year-round, daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The adjacent hot tub is a popular feature, though the water jets have been noted as weak. The fitness centre is equipped with basic cardio and strength machines (free weights and treadmills) - usable but small and can have a musty smell. The pool and hot tub are clean and well-maintained, though occasional weekend crowding occurs when the hotel is full. Towels are available at the pool area. There is no spa or sauna on site.

The free airport shuttle runs from 4:30 AM to 11:00 PM daily, covering the airport, Amtrak station, and Concord Coach Lines bus station. Pick-ups from the airport are on demand - call the hotel after collecting your luggage. Drop-offs are scheduled at check-in. The shuttle also stops at downtown locations (including Thompson's Point and the Old Port area). Free private parking is available on site (reservation needed). Extended parking for travel is $6-$10 per night under a park-and-fly arrangement. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property - reception is generally good. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, luggage storage, and safety deposit boxes. Accessibility features include a wheelchair-accessible entrance, accessible parking, a lift, grab rails, raised toilet, and Braille/tactile signs.
