The main train station, Connolly Station, is about 1 km away. Dublin Airport is 9 km away; the Aircoach 700 and Dublin Express buses stop on nearby O'Connell Bridge, a 2-minute walk from the hotel. A taxi from the airport costs around €30-€35. The hotel is directly across from a sports bar and surrounded by pubs, with live music and street noise continuing until late. Light sleepers are strongly advised to request a room facing away from the street. A Tesco supermarket is next door, and the area offers numerous restaurants, shops and attractions within easy walking distance.

Room sizes vary, with many described as compact. Single, double, twin, triple and quadruple rooms are available; some rooms have two single beds or two bathrooms. All en-suite bathrooms have walk-in showers (no bathtubs). Rooms include heating, parquet floors, a desk, and a fan in place of air conditioning. In warmer months, rooms can become uncomfortably hot, and street-facing rooms are exposed to noise from bars until early morning. Interior rooms are quieter. Wardrobe space is limited; some rooms have only open hanging rails. Safety deposit boxes and blackout curtains are standard. A limited number of accessible rooms are available.

Breakfast is buffet-style, costing €18 per person per day, and offers continental options, a Full Irish Breakfast, plus vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices. The restaurant also serves dinner and has a cocktail hour. A children's buffet is available. In the evening, the restaurant and bar provide a quieter retreat from the surrounding Temple Bar nightlife. Nearby, dozens of restaurants and pubs are within a short walk, but the hotel's own dining offers a reliable and convenient option.

The West Wood Club is open daily from 16:00 to 23:00. Access is free for all hotel guests aged 16 and over. The facility includes a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym equipment. Towels are available from reception (to avoid charges at the club). There is no spa or jacuzzi on site. The club does not allow children under 16. Billiards and walking tours can be booked at the hotel for an additional charge.

The 24-hour reception staff can arrange tours and provide local information. Express check-in/out is available. Luggage storage is free for early arrivals or late departures. The hotel is fully wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair-friendly rooms and accessible bathrooms (grab rails). There is no laundry service on site, but a laundrette is a 2-minute walk away.
