DAIWA ROYNET HOTEL SHIMBASHI, Tokyo

Shimbashi Station is a 3-minute walk from the entrance, connecting to the JR Yamanote Line, Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, Asakusa Line and Yurikamome. The hotel sits on a quiet side street, yet Ginza district is under 10 minutes on foot and Sakurada Park is a 5-minute walk. Haneda Airport is 16 km away and can be reached by train with a single transfer at Hamamatsucho; Narita Airport is best accessed via the limousine bus from the adjacent Daiichi Hotel. The immediate neighbourhood is dense with restaurants, bars, convenience stores and the Shimbashi Station shopping arcade under the tracks.

Room types include single, double and twin configurations, each fitted with private bathroom, bidet, hairdryer, free toiletries, slippers, carpeted floors, electric kettle and a work desk. The double bed is 140 cm wide - comfortable for one, tighter for two. Soundproofed walls keep rooms quiet even with the nearby train line. Twin rooms are notably spacious by Tokyo standards and come with a larger bathroom. An amenities bar in the lobby offers extras such as face lotion, bath salts and pyjamas. Windows can be opened slightly for ventilation.

Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet with a good selection of dishes. The dining area is efficient and fast-paced. For drinks, the lobby provides self-service coffee machines and a variety of tea bags at no charge throughout the day. There is no on-site restaurant for lunch or dinner, but the surrounding Shimbashi area offers dozens of restaurants, from grilled beef and pizza to Indian curry and sushi, all within a 5-minute walk.

Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel. Reception is staffed 24 hours and can assist with check-in, luggage storage (available before check-in and after checkout), and general enquiries.
