Key landmarks within walking distance include the Dam Square (6 minutes), the Kalverstraat shopping area (10 minutes), the Red Light District, and the Anne Frank House (15 minutes). The area is highly central, with numerous restaurants, shops, and nightlife venues immediately surrounding the hotel. Due to the central location, street noise can be audible, especially in rooms facing the road, and the area can be crowded with tourists at all hours.

The hotel offers a range of room types including double, twin, family, and quadruple configurations. Every room has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries, as well as a flat-screen TV, safe, parquet floors, and heating. Rooms are typically small and basic, best suited for sleeping rather than spending extended time in. Many rooms have a window, and some offer views of the Damrak or canal. Note that the hotel has no lift, and stairs are steep and narrow, which can be challenging with heavy luggage or for those with mobility issues.
