The hotel is positioned at the beginning of the Canal Belt, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Amsterdam Central Station is directly opposite, giving immediate access to trains from Schiphol Airport, trams, and buses. Major attractions within walking distance include Dam Square and the Royal Palace (10 minutes), Chinatown (5 minutes), Kalverstraat shopping area (under 15 minutes), and Anne Frank House (less than 15 minutes via the canals). The cruise terminal is about a 10-minute walk away. The neighbourhood is filled with restaurants, bars, and shops within a few hundred metres. No parking is available at the hotel, but street parking costs €7.50 per hour and public garages are nearby. The area is well-served by public transport, making a car unnecessary for most stays.

Room types include double, twin, triple, and quadruple configurations. Triple rooms are available as either a family room (double + single bed) or a triple room (three single beds). Quadruple rooms feature two bathrooms, a double bed, and two single beds. Some rooms are located in the basement (Souterrain) with limited natural light and no lift access - these rooms may feel small and have a window facing an internal courtyard. The Double Room with Shared Toilet is a three-quarter bed (120 cm) also in the basement. Rooms on higher floors generally have city views. All rooms include a private bathroom with a bath or shower, a safety deposit box, and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms have a desk available upon request (subject to availability). The building's historic structure means soundproofing is limited, and noise from adjacent rooms or the street may be heard. Air conditioning is available in all rooms. Beds are generally comfortable, though some rooms have compact layouts.

Breakfast is offered from 7:00 in the breakfast room as a buffet. The selection includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, cereal, fruit, hot drinks, and juices. Hot items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, and boiled eggs are replenished regularly. A time slot must be booked upon arrival to manage capacity. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, but a bar is available and in-room breakfast can be arranged. Numerous restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets are within a 5-minute walk, including Brasserie Brassa, Lost in Amsterdam Lounge & Cafe, and STACH supermarket. The breakfast is considered adequate for starting the day, though the variety is basic and may not suit all preferences.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property, though signal strength can be weak in some rooms. The 24-hour front desk provides private check-in/check-out, key card access, and luggage storage free of charge - useful for early arrivals or late departures.
