The hotel sits on the main Parkway, placing guests within easy walking distance of the downtown strip's shops, restaurants, and attractions such as the Space Needle (500 m), Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies (1 km), and the Gatlinburg Sky Lift (6 min drive). The entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is less than one block away, making it ideal for hikers and nature visitors. The trolley system has a stop at the property. The Log Cabin Pancake House is a 1 km walk. The area is walkable for most attractions, though the property is at the quieter end of the strip, offering easier access to the park and a less congested feel.

Room types range from standard double and queen rooms to king suites and triple suites with three beds. Some king suites offer a balcony overlooking the Parkway, a hot tub, a fireplace, or both - though balcony rooms are only available with one king bed. The triple suite places one bed on the main level and two beds on a loft separated by a door, and its balcony is more of a breezeway. All rooms are air-conditioned and include heating, a tea/coffee maker, and cable TV. Rooms are generally spacious. The bed comfort is reliable, and blackout shades help with sleep. Some rooms have been noted to show signs of age such as worn carpet, but cleanliness is generally maintained.

Breakfast is included and consists of individually wrapped items such as bagels, muffins, bread, cereal, yogurt, and milk, plus hot coffee and tea. There is no hot breakfast or made-to-order items. The breakfast area can become busy, and some items may run out during peak times. There is no on-site restaurant or bar; however, the hotel is surrounded by numerous dining options within a short walk, including Crockett's Breakfast Camp, The Log Cabin Pancake House, Luigi's Pizzeria, Calhoun's, and Smoky Mountain Brewery. Many of these are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The indoor pool is heated and open year-round, though it has been closed intermittently for maintenance and cleaning. The pool area is open from 10:00 to 22:00 and pool/beach towels are provided. There is no separate jacuzzi or spa. For recreation, guests have access to free hiking (off-site), and paid activities such as cycling, fishing, horse riding, and skiing are available nearby, as is a golf course within 3 km. The property has outdoor furniture and a sun terrace.

The property provides free private parking on site (one space per room), with accessible parking and a parking garage available.
