De Bedstee is situated in the museum quarter, directly behind the Concertgebouw and a short walk from the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and Stedelijk Museum. Vondelpark and the RAI convention centre are also nearby. The area provides easy access to Dam Square and Leidseplein, and a tram stop is just outside for quick trips to the city centre. The airport bus 397 stops a minute away, offering a direct link to Schiphol Airport in under 30 minutes. Several restaurants, cafés, and a supermarket are within a few hundred metres, making it a practical base for exploring the city on foot or by public transport.

Each capsule is a private, lockable space entered via a personal bracelet. The dimensions are compact - roughly the size of a single, double, or large single bed with about 120-130 cm of headroom, suitable for sitting or lying down only. Pillows can be firm and mattress softness varies. A small wardrobe and personal luggage space are inside the capsule, but there is no room for full-size suitcases. Upper capsules are reached by steep stairs and may be difficult for those with mobility issues, limited flexibility, or taller individuals. Lower-level capsules can be requested subject to availability. Soundproofing within the capsule is good, but noise from neighbouring capsules and common areas can still be audible; a quiet policy is enforced after 10:00 PM. All capsules are located in a shared common area, with shared bathroom and shower facilities on the same floor. Towels, bathrobes, free organic toiletries, and a private locker are provided.

Breakfast is a paid buffet offered daily at €15, with options including bread, pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, sausages, pancakes, and hot beverages. It must be booked in advance. The hotel has a bar and a coffee shop on site, serving drinks, wine, champagne, and snacks via vending machines. The common area is adjacent to a small, bright dining room with views of the garden. Use of the kitchen or its equipment (microwave, cutlery) requires a minimum consumption fee of €2-3. Eating and drinking are not allowed inside the capsules or on the upper floors, so all food and drink must be consumed in the common area.

The hotel provides free Wi-Fi in all rooms and a free portable Mi-Fi device per capsule. A 24-hour reception, concierge service, and private check-in/out are offered. Luggage storage before check-in or after checkout is available for a €5 fee. Laundry service is available for an additional charge. Bike rental is available on-site. Public parking is possible on site with an electric vehicle charging station; however, parking is limited, reservations are not possible, and charges may apply. Street parking is also available. The property is adults only and has non-smoking rooms throughout. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, key card access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers.
