This is a supremely central location: Waverley Station is two minutes away, the airport bus stops five minutes away, and all major sights-Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street Gardens-are within a short walk. The immediate area is packed with restaurants, bars and shops, but the building sits directly above a KFC and McDonald's, which can attract crowds and noise around the entrance, especially late at night. For those arriving by car, paid off-site parking (booked in advance) is available, and the nearby St James Centre car park is another option. The tram stop is on the doorstep, making car-free city access easy.

The property has no restaurant, bar, or breakfast service. However, the immediate surroundings offer a wide range of dining choices: The Voodoo Rooms, Franco Manca, Wahaca, The Cafe Royal, and Lady Libertine are all within 0.5 km, and there are numerous cafés on the corner (e.g., Black Sheep Coffee). For self-catering, each apartment is fully equipped with a kitchen, so guests can prepare their own meals. Grocery stores and supermarkets are also within easy walking distance.

No wellness or leisure amenities are available on-site. Guests looking for fitness or spa options will need to find them elsewhere in the city centre, which is easily reached on foot. The apartments themselves are best used as a practical base for sightseeing, shopping, and dining rather than for on-site relaxation.

Check-in is from 15:00 and checkout by 11:00. There is no reception; a keyless entry code is sent before arrival. Luggage can be stored at the Destiny Scotland office at 85 Hanover Street (open 9am-7pm) both before check-in and after checkout-note the office is about 8-10 minutes' walk from the apartments. Housekeeping is not daily: cleaning is provided only on the fifth day of a longer stay. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Private off-site parking costs £15-20 per night and must be reserved in advance. The building has a lift from the first floor, though there are approximately 30 steps from street level to reach it. Cots for babies 0-2 years are free on request; extra beds are not available. Pets are not allowed.
