The hotel sits on a lively street in the heart of Vancouver's English Bay district, directly across from the beach and a short walk to Stanley Park. Many excellent restaurants, cafes, and shops are within a block on Davie Street and Denman Street, and a Safeway grocery store is about a 10-minute walk. Public transport is convenient: Bus No. 5 from Yaletown station stops nearby, and the city centre is about a 30-minute walk. The cruise terminal at Canada Place is roughly 10 minutes by taxi (about CAD 10), and Vancouver International Airport is a 30-minute taxi or Uber ride. The area is very walkable but can be noisy late into the night due to nearby bars and restaurants.

Accommodations range from 2-person ensuite rooms with a queen and a twin bed to 1-bedroom suites for up to 5 adults with a queen bed in a separate bedroom plus a queen and a single in the living area. All suites include air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a tea and coffee maker, a work desk, and a seating area. Kitchens come with a refrigerator, stove top, microwave, oven, and kitchenware. The property is older and has dated furnishings and carpets; rooms are generally spacious but may feel worn. Noise from the street can be audible through single-glazed windows, especially in front-facing rooms. Some units have been noted to have a musty smell, and the elevator and corridors may have odors.

The hotel does not serve breakfast or dinner. A vending machine with drinks is available. The lobby provides free drip coffee and hot chocolate for residents. Guests can find numerous dining options within a short walk on Davie Street and Denman Street, including Mediterranean Grill, Sylvia's Restaurant, and many others. A Starbucks is nearby for morning coffee. A discount is available at the restaurant next door.

English Bay Beach, a 4-minute walk away, offers public washrooms, umbrella and chair rentals, kayak rentals, and a swimming raft with a slide. Lifeguards are on duty from late May to early September. The Mobi-Mat accessible pathway and two water wheelchairs (available during the same period) make the beach more accessible. Two sand volleyball courts are available. The Stanley Park Seawall, popular for running and cycling, runs along the east side of the beach, and bike rentals are available nearby.

WiFi is free in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk offers concierge service, luggage storage (free, useful for early arrivals or late departures), and a safety deposit box. Daily housekeeping is provided on request. Laundry facilities are available for CAD 2 per wash. The hotel has a lift (elevator). Parking is available in an underground garage on a first-come-first-serve basis for CAD 25 per day (no reservation); the garage is narrow and may not suit large vehicles.
