The area is lively and walkable but some side streets have visible homelessness and drug use; the main hotel entrance is on a safe street.

All suites include a kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, tea and coffee maker, cookware, and utensils. The private bathroom has a bath or shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Each unit features air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. Rooms vary from studio-style to one-bedroom apartments, with balconies. Beds are generally comfortable, but some units have older, soft mattresses or loose slats. Road-facing or north-facing rooms can be noisy due to street and alley traffic; south-facing rooms are quieter and offer views over the city or water. Some bathrooms show wear, such as stained tubs or flickering lights. Overall, rooms feel dated but clean, with good space for self-catering stays.

The surrounding area on Davie Street has an extensive choice of restaurants, from Japanese and Thai to pizza and coffee shops, all within a few minutes' walk.
