Built in 1910, the hotel retains characterful old-world charm with modern updates. Rooms are clean but compact, with carpeted floors and flat-screen TVs in private-bathroom rooms. Some rooms have shared bathrooms down the hall; twin rooms with private bathroom start at CAD$369 per night. The double beds are smaller than standard size, and soundproofing between rooms is limited. Rooms at the back are quieter. Windows open for ventilation. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms, but complimentary coffee/tea is available in the lobby each morning.

The Fable Diner and Bar, adjoining the hotel, offers American comfort food and a full bar. The hotel provides a discount at this restaurant. For breakfast, the hotel offers complimentary coffee and tea from 7-10am in the lobby; no full breakfast service is on site, but numerous cafés and restaurants are within a short walk.
