FIRST CABIN AKASAKA, Tokyo

The hotel sits directly across from Akasaka Station's Exit 2, with the Chiyoda Line providing direct access to central Tokyo. A 7-minute walk reaches Akasaka Mitsuke Station (Marunouchi/Ginza lines) for swift connections to Tokyo Station and Shibuya. Haneda Airport is a 40-minute train ride via the Keikyu and Ginza lines. The neighbourhood is packed with restaurants, convenience stores, and the Harry Potter Cafe within a few minutes' walk. The area stays lively at night, but the cabin floors are effectively soundproofed so sleep quality is unaffected. Free luggage storage makes late-arrival or early-departure exploration practical.

The Business Class cabin is a standard capsule with a single bed, shelf, hangers, and charging sockets; luggage must be stored in a shared locked area on the floor. The First Class cabin provides noticeably more floor space, allowing a full-sized carry-on to be kept inside the unit, plus a small table. All cabins have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV (headset required), an in-room safety deposit box, and a firm mattress. Some find the mattress hard, but the First Class cabin is rated as comfortable for taller individuals. Noise from cabin doors and hallway activity can be heard, so earplugs from reception are advised. Bedding, towels, and pyjamas are exchanged daily. No private bathrooms exist; toilets and washbasins are on every floor, with showers downstairs.

The cafe on the second floor offers reasonably priced morning sets, a convenient option for a quick start to the day. After 17:00, the same space operates as a lounge where you can eat your own food or work. The cafe area also functions as a guest lounge in the evening. There is a coffee house on site, and wine/champagne is available for an additional charge. Given the lack of a full restaurant, the immediate neighbourhood-Akasaka-is filled with dining choices ranging from sushi and shabu-shabu to ramen and international cuisine, all within a few minutes' walk.

The onsen is a highlight, providing a deep hot bath to unwind after a day of sightseeing or business. It is closed for cleaning from 10:00 to 12:30 daily, but accessible at all other hours. Two private shower rooms (one for each gender) are available for those who prefer not to use the shared onsen; these are open 24 hours. Hairdryers, straighteners, and a selection of quality toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, face care) are provided in the shower/dressing area. The onsen and shower facilities are well-maintained and cleaned regularly. Guests with tattoos may use the private shower rooms at any time.

The 24-hour front desk staff speak English and can assist with late check-ins, luggage storage, and item requests (earplugs, razors). Luggage storage is free both before check-in and on the day of check-out; extended storage between split stays is possible with advance arrangement. Coin-operated laundry machines (300-500 yen per cycle) are located in the basement shower area. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. A shared lounge/TV area is on the second floor, and vending machines for drinks are located on the basement level. Daily housekeeping is included. Fax/photocopying is available for an extra charge.
