The immediate area is lively and multicultural, with numerous pubs, bars, and late-night eateries surrounding the hotel. While the location is excellent for exploring the city centre, the neighbourhood can be noisy at night, and some find it less suitable for those seeking a quiet stay. The hotel is a short walk from the Aircoach stop, making airport transfers straightforward.

All rooms provide an en suite bathroom with a shower (no bathtubs), free toiletries, a wardrobe, carpeted floors, and heating. Some rooms have a ceiling window that cannot be closed, allowing light in from early morning. The hotel has no air conditioning, and many rooms become very warm, especially in summer; a portable fan is available on request but may not be sufficient. The mattress quality varies significantly, with some springs being felt through the covering. Rooms are spread over three floors; a room on an upper floor or overlooking the internal courtyard can considerably reduce noise from the bar and street.
